An assessment of HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning) and Building Systems (insulation, windows, lighting, appliances). This assessment will also review indoor air quality and safety related to appliances. The Orange Energy Audit will be conducted by energy professionals who are specially trained and certified Home Energy Raters (HERS®) and Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analysts using the latest instruments and software for analysis.

SAVINGS PROPOSAL
You will receive a proposal approximately a week after the audit. The proposal will explain in detail the condition of your home/property from an energy efficiency and comfort point of view. It also priortizes improvements and investments that will make your home more comfortable, efficient and less expensive to maintain. Our recommendations are based on a return on investment analysis- we’ll use industry approved estimates and stay far from unsubstantiated claims made by some vendors and manufacturers.
INSULATION & AIR SEALING
Your home or building’s envelope needs to be insulated and sealed. The Energy Assessment will tell us where all the leaks are and we implement the latest technology to make sure your home will be protected from wind, heat and cold.
APPLIANCES & LIGHTING
Your appliances and home electronics are likely responsible for about 20% of your energy bills. In late 2009 or early 2010, you can receive rebates to purchase new ENERGY STAR-qualified appliances when you replace your used appliances. Learn more. Orange helps you identify the appliances that might be worth replacing and how to take advantage of state and federal incentives.
