Orange Energy Solutions is a registered dealer of Serious Energy (formerly Serious Materials) Vinyl and Fiberglass Windows. Serious Energy produces some of the most energy efficient residential windows available in the market, and some of their features include double paned, low-E, super insulated glass. The glass that powers a Serious Window is custom manufactured in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. Customization is an important feature of Serious Windows because every window we order is custom made to the nearest 1/8th of an inch.

SeriousWindows Series 300 Vinyl Windows
The SeriousWindows 300 is the perfect window for a tight budget. These windows contain the features most requested by homeowners in one affordable package. With an R-4 value, this is the most economical window in our portfolio. You will be more than satisfied with its aesthetic appeal, maintenance and worry free comfort, and energy performance.
SeriousWindows Series 501
Serious Materials' SeriousWindows 501 Series offers incredible thermal performance at a reasonable price. Their energy efficiency, beauty and workable design make these windows one of the top vinyl windows in the market today. Available with Serious Glass 8 double paned glass with suspended film and a low-E coating. The 501 Series feature U values as low as 0.15 (R6.7). The 501 Series also feature additional interior finishes, including real wood laminates.
Serious X25 Series Fiberglass Windows
Fiberglass is a more durable product than vinyl or wood. Serious fiberglass windows come with a lifetime warrantee, so you never need to worry about replacing your windows again. The X25 series fiberglass windows are available with real wood interior finishes to provide you the beauty of wood and the durability of fiberglass. Fiberglass windows are also available with simulated divided light (SDL), which is required for some historic buildings.
The glass driving the fiberglass windows is Serious double paned glass filled with argon and/or krypton, and a suspended film. X25 windows are available with either a high or low solar heat gain coefficient depending on your needs.
Our best-selling models are the 525 and 725 Series of Fiberglass windows. The 525 series is the most affordable model of fiberglass windows, and features U values as low as 0.17 (R-5.9). The 725 Series features U-values as low as 0.14 (R-7.1) and a thinner profile than the 525.
Serious Energy and the Empire State Building
When the Empire State building decided to improve its energy efficiency, the owners turned to Serious Materials to update all their glass. Serious Materials removed all 6,514 double paned windows in the building, cleaned each unit, and reused them all as super insulating glass windows by using their coatings, and warm edge technology. The new super insulating glass units increased the R value from R-2 to R-5 to 8, and decreased solar heat gain by 50% over the existing windows. The glass retrofit project is helping one of America’s most iconic buildings save about 38% or $4.4 million a year in energy costs.
